Slipknot have announced their own festival, which will take place this August.
The event, known as 'Knotfest', will take place August 17 and 18 in Iowa and Somerset (Wisconsin) respectively.
The band will perform at the festival alongside some massive metal acts such as Cannibal Corpse, Deftones, Lamb Of God and Serj Tankian.
In addition to performances the festival will feature a Slipknot museum, fairground rides, burlesque entertainment and other carnival-esque entertainment - such as firebreathers, big tops and "drum circles made of junkyard cars".
"[The festival is] all about having fun and bringing something to the world of rock and roll, bringing it to the standard it used to be," Shawn Crahan told Rolling Stone. "It's time for us to really engulf this idea known as Knotfest where we're in control, we make a day devoted to our mindset, our ideas, the people that we want to play with, the people that we think our fans want to be around."
